Almost as quickly as El Pasoan Al Borrego decided to become a full-time artist, he became one of the city’s biggest art promoters.
Borrego, who began painting a little more than a year ago, figured out that the best way to sell his art was to get it exposed anywhere he could. So he started displaying his art at a local hair salon and at coffeehouses. It worked, and Borrego has been selling his art consistently, he said.”*
