Knowledge is Power!
Miami-based immigration law firm Cordero & Associates has enhanced its service to clients in Latin America by opening a new office in Buenos Aires and establishing a representative relationship with Caracas-based Tinoco, Travieso, Planchart & Nunez, announced Luis A. Cordero, founder of the firm.
A name partner in the Caracas firm, Alfredo Travieso Passios, will serve as a Senior International Business Consultant for Cordero & Associates. “We are pleased to establish a relationship with one of Venezuela’s most respected law firms, and we are now in the process of staffing our new office in Argentina,” said Luis Cordero. “These offices are well situated to serve Latin American regions that have become areas of heavy activity for our firm.”
Luis Cordero was recently recognized in the 2008 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, an annual guide listing the leading business lawyers and law firms worldwide. Among immigration attorneys, the Chambers guide ranked Cordero in the highest group, Band 1 out of six.
The Chambers rankings, based on client interviews, are referred to extensively by users of legal services who look to the company’s recommendations when choosing their lawyers. Lawyers are ranked on factors including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by clients. The Chambers rankings are available online at www.chambersandpartners.com/usa.
Cordero was also named to Florida Super Lawyers 2008, a ranking established through an extensive process of balloting, blue ribbon panel review and independent research. Only 5% of South Florida attorneys are named to the list. The Super Lawyers Florida ranking is available at www.superlawyers.com/florida/.
Cordero & Associates provides immigration, nationality and consular legal services to corporate and individual clients throughout the U.S., Latin America and Europe. It also offers a full suite of complementary advisory services including assistance with corporate legal matters, familiarization with all aspects of U.S. labor law, tax planning, and real estate negotiations. In addition to the new offices in Buenos Aires and Caracas, the firm maintains its headquarters in Miami as well as offices in New York and Washington, DC.
