Radio station KVYB-103.3 FM has pulled the plug on two popular morning personalities, Rico and Mambo, whose last day on the air was Friday.
Bruce Pollock, the station’s new general manager, said the station is going in another musical direction with less hip-hop and more mainstream music.
He said the contracts of the two radio hosts — Jaime Rangel, whose on-air name is “Rico,” and Daniel Herrejon, who uses the name “Mambo” — weren’t renewed.”*
