When Rep. Xavier Becerra endorsed Barack Obama back in January, even his own parents wanted to know why. “Don’t you know the Clintons?” they asked. “Didn’t they do good stuff for us in the past?”
Becerra, a Democrat from California, says the reaction he got from home underscores the challenge Obama faces now: how to win over Hispanic voters who voted for Hillary Rodham Clinton in the primaries and now hold the keys to victory in states such as Florida, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. “*
