Treasure Coast civic leader Bobby Rodriguez believes he’s opened-minded at election time, voting for the best candidate, regardless of party affiliation.
However, like the majority of those considered Hispanic along the Treasure Coast — and in Florida — Rodriguez is registered to vote as a Democrat.
“I feel myself more independent,” said the Port St. Lucie resident, who has Puerto Rican ancestry. “I usually go with the one who best fits the job. I’ve been that way for years. I’ve voted for Republicans. I’ve voted for Democrats.”"*
