Funny, eh? The man who was voted American League Most Valuable Player in 1988, after posting the first 40-40 season in the big leagues, has scheduled a boxing match. Having extended invitations to anyone who dared to accept his challenge, he is scheduled to fight Vai Sikahema, the former Philadelphia Eagle who now is a TV sports anchor.
I wish this were a publicity stunt. A way for Jose to get his name in the papers and on ESPN.
