“One of Dulce VanDyken’s earliest craft memories dates back to her childhood in Cuba, watching her mother sew custom brassieres.

“I used to sit under her sewing machine and pick up all her brassiere scraps,” she said, recalling how she would then move to her own sewing area across the room and make little bras for Barbie dolls.

“I used to sell them to the neighborhood kids for a quarter,” she said, laughing.”*
