After months of fighting, finally some agreement among South Carolina lawmakers. It’s all over a bill to cut down on illegal immigrants in the Palmetto State. It’s getting a thumbs-up from the governor, but opponents aren’t so convinced.
Here at home, one leader in the Hispanic community is worried where such a law could take all of us. It’s a bigger picture we might not have considered. Simply put, if illegal immigrants aren’t able to work, they won’t spend money, meaning a bigger strain on the economy and possibly a threat to the community.”*
