Weekly Review –»
With Memorial Day this has been a short week but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of news. Seriously, where else could you find so much relevant and useful news for, from or about Hispanics and Latinos (just scroll down). PLUS, I just found out that HispanicTips has received press credentials for the Democratic National Convention in Denver (see what other blogs got credentials).

- Latino Activists Face Death Threats in Georgia
- A Washington town confronts its language barrier - In a program seen as a bellwether, the Justice Department steps in with a formal plan to bridge the English-Spanish divide in Mattawa.
- Media Matters - Ignoring his reversal, media mention McCain’s immigration bill in context of his attempt to gain Hispanic support
- Benicio Del Toro, ‘Latino Brad Pitt’, wins Cannes award as ‘Che’
- Mexican star of immigrant drama gets border grief at Cannes - “Los Bastardos” star Ruben Sosa
