Rep. Patrick Kennedy is set to make his first public appearance in Rhode Island since his father was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this month.

Kennedy will attend a news conference Tuesday morning at Progreso Latino in Central Falls, where his spokeswoman says he’ll announce funding for job development for minority students.”*
