If former Cuban President Fidel Castro could cast his vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election his candidate of choice would be Sen. Barack Obama.
On Monday the 81-year old Castro published a column in the state-run Granma making it clear that although he disagrees with Obama’s decision to maintain Washington’s trade embargo against Cuba, he believes Obama is “doubtless, from the social and human points of view, the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency.” “*
