“Expanding its support for diverse markets, DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ: DIVX), a digital media company, will now offer Spanish versions of its popular video creation and playback software. DivX® is a digital media format that enables consumers to enjoy high-quality digital video on any DivX Certified® device. Over 100 million DivX Certified devices including players, phones, digital cameras, and digital televisions have shipped into the market.

The DivX Player 6.8 features Spanish localization in addition to support for QuickTime files and AVI 2.0. The DivX Converter 6.6, also offering Spanish support, will include the ability to encode files in high-definition using the new DivX HD 1080p profile. DivX also offers software support in English, German, French, and Japanese. The new versions of the software will be available worldwide, providing Spanish speakers everywhere a chance to intuitively engage a superior media experience.
