“Voto Latino, a non-partisan voter engagement organization, is hosting a live blog as a prelude to the State of Latinos: 2008 Colorado Town Hall Meeting. The live blog session at www.votolatino.org will take place on May 22 from 3 pm - 6 pm EDT/ 1 pm - 4 pm PDT with key Voto Latino representatives fielding questions to elicit themes that will be presented during the State of Latinos: 2008 Colorado Town Hall Meeting to be held on May 30 in Denver. The event will later be broadcast on Azteca America in early June. “We’re excited to be able to unite our voter engagement activities with the effort of State of Latinos: 2008 Colorado Town Hall Metting to create a comprehensive Latino agenda to present to our representatives at this important moment of our nation’s history,” said Maria Teresa Peterson, founding executive director of Voto Latino, who will also be participating as a panelist during the town hall meeting. “This is one of several activities that we are cooordinating with Voto Latino with the goal of making sure our community is taken into account during this election year,” said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Fundacion”*
