“Sen. Barack Obama emerged from his attempt to sway members of the Florida Hispanic community with a Treasure Coast civic leader in his camp.

Bobby Rodriguez, who oversees a Treasure Coast Hispanic empowerment committee that counts about 1,000 area residents as members, said he went into a meeting with Obama Wednesday expecting to hear “the same rhetoric” one hears from all politicians.
