Dr. J.J. Suarez Elected Chairman of the Construction Industry Round Table From: earthtimes.org

“J.J. Suarez, President and Chief Executive Officer of CSA Group, the largest Hispanic-owned architectural/engineering/planning and environmental (A/E/P&E) services firm in the U.S., was elected Chairman of the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT) for 2008-2009 at its recent Spring Conference held in Washington, DC. Since the mid 1990s, Dr. Suarez has served in many key capacities within CIRT including Vice Chairman in 2007-2008.

CIRT is exclusively composed of approximately 100 chief executives from the leading architectural, engineering, and construction firms doing business in the United States that strives to create one voice to meet the interest and needs of the design/construction community. These CIRT members count for a large portion of the approximately 8-10 percent of the United States GDP done annually by the design/construction industry, including billions of dollars a year in federal infrastructure projects.

CSA Group, which Dr. Suarez has led as President and CEO since 1998, is currently ranked among the top 200 Design Firms by Engineering News Record (ENR) and is owned by approximately 60 of its over 700 employees. Also named as officers of the Construction Industry Round Table were Matthew M. Walsh (CEO, The Walsh Group, Chicago, IL) as Vice Chairman; Linda Figg (President & CEO, Figg Engineering Group) as Treasurer; and Scott S. Lynn (President & CEO, Atkinson Construction, Broomfield, CO) as Immediate Past Chairman.”
