Cristián de la Fuente perseveres on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Cristián de la Fuente and partner Cheryl Burke were performing the samba on the show’s April 28 episode when de la Fuente tore a tendon his left arm and went directly from the studio to a hospital. The next day, viewers decided that the actor should continue on the show and he explained that, although he needs immediate surgery, he was going to wait until his participation in the show was over.

Last week couldn’t have been better for the Chilean, who has been living in the United States for the last 10 years. Judges gave him the week’s highest cores and judge Bruno Tonioli said the things that De la Fuente could do with one arm were magic and the actor joked that he should have started dancing with one arm earlier.”*
