“Now Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory for more than 100 years, has a place at the center of American political debate. Hillary Rodham Clinton and are competing for 55 delegates to be chosen in a June 1 Democratic primary. The island also has eight superdelegates.

“We’re going to enjoy every minute of the attention,” the president of the Senate, Kenneth D. McClintock, said during a recent visit to the nation’s capital.”*
