Calling for immigration reform and equal treatment, more than 1,000 Latinos and their supporters walked through the streets of southwest Detroit on Thursday in a vivid demonstration that was one of several held nationwide.
Waving Mexican and U.S. flags, the crowd held up signs in Spanish and English that read: “Stop raids and deportations that separate families.” One man held up a sign that read: “No human is illegal.”"*
