“Atlanta Latinas that are looking for a new career, attempting to navigate the politics of corporate America, or those interested in starting their own business now have an association to support them. Not quite a year a year old, the NLBWA – Atlanta Chapter has as its mission to promote, develop, and support the rapid growth of Latina business owners and professionals through education and networking.

The Board of Directors invites members and the interested public to meet and hear Patricia Janiot, Senior Anchor for CNN En Español speak on “Femininity and Success” at a breakfast seminar, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday, April 28th at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta – Buckhead. Patricia Janiot is a senior anchor for CNN En Español and serves as the advisor to the senior vice president of the network. Janiot joined CNN in 1992 and presents “Panorama Mundial con Patricia Janiot,” the day’s most important headlines and stock market activity; and “Las Noticias,” a dynamic and comprehensive review of world events.

A strong, highly credible, successful, professional woman, Janiot was quick to accept the invitation to speak to the NLBWA – Atlanta Chapter. “I congratulate the NLBWA for the good work they are doing,” commented Janiot.

Janiot has received numerous journalism accolades, among them a Golden Mike Award in 1990 for best newscast by the & News Association of Southern California, an Emmy Award nomination, and ’s Simon Bolivar award for investigative journalism. Janiot was also named to the Hispanic Media 100 in 2001, an annual recognition of 100 of the most influential journalists and news media executives in the United States, and was most recently awarded a 2002 Industry Award (INTE) for “Best Female News Personality.”
