Acquisition by Maryland company helps Movida Communications avert bankruptcy

Movida Communications of Kansas City will continue marketing a cell-phone service to Spanish-speaking consumers after being bought by a Maryland company.

Cozac, a subsidiary of APC Wireless of Rockville, Md., purchased Movida last week.

On March 31, Movida sought bankruptcy protection. The terms of its purchase by APC were not disclosed.”*
