A proposed rental-property ordinance that some claim is “anti-Hispanic” brought about 100 people to the York Springs Borough Council Thursday night - enough to force the meeting outside and influence council members to table a vote.
Members of the public, most of whom were landlords and tenants, and about half of whom were Hispanic, said the ordinance was everything from anti-business to anti-Hispanic and resembled actions in Hazleton, Pa., which has earned national attention in recent years for attempting to crack down on illegal immigration.”*
