This media slant is on full display in coverage of what’s going on in Arizona, where the most vigorous state effort yet seen to combat illegal immigration seems to have largely turned off the job magnet and triggered a steady exodus of illegals.
Arizona thus is a perfect test case for the widely touted thesis that illegal immigrants have become such an integral part of the economy that losing them would bring ruin to certain industries, with far-reaching fallout. So far that doesn’t seem to be happening in our eastern neighbor. But has this been what the media has focused on? Nope.”*
