“With National Guard Troops set to leave the border this Summer, Homeland security is trying to fill the gap. Its all part of a push to hire 6,000 new agents by the end of the year.

Tuesday, the agency held an open house looking for new hires. Tucson sector Border Patrol is already 3,000 agents strong but the government says it’s still not enough to cover the miles of desert along the Southwest border.”*
