Hispanic volunteers train for emergency response – Florida

“Wearing green hard hats and bright yellow vests, a group of Hispanic volunteers rushed an unconscious man from a building after a natural disaster damaged the area.

And while the injuries and the disaster were not real, the skills used to get him to “safety” were as if it was a true emergency.

Nine northwest Volusia County residents, all Hispanics, used the first-responder’s skills they learned through the Community Emergency Response Team training during a mock disaster.”*
