More than 2,000 Mexican soldiers are arriving to Juárez and Palomas to fight drug traffickers waging a war in the streets of those cities, Mexican officials said.
General Guillermo Galavan Galavan, Mexico’s defense secretary, said at a news conference in Juárez Thursday that 2086 solders and 425 federal police officers would patrol the streets and operate checkpoints at entrances to the city.”*
