It’s Wednesday afternoon and Paul Rodriguez is lying by the pool at his Studio City home, he says, cell phone in one hand and a Corona beer in the other.
He’s relaxed and jovial. He changes the topic of the phone interview and asks, “Can you hear the waterfall? Some people would call it a leaky pipe.”
He breaks into and out of comedic material even while explaining the night he was thrust into “TMZ’s” spotlight days earlier after his jokes and unflattering comments were caught on video outside a Hollywood comedy club.”*
