“When Mexican super pop group RBD came to Bakersfield for the first time in July 2006, they rocked their local fans’ world — and the Rabobank Arena’s as well.

“That was kind of the beginning when all of a sudden the Hispanic community noticed we were here,” said Steve Womack, general manager of the Rabobank Arena Theater and Convention Center.
