LatiNation and American Latino TV Move to Sundays at 11:00 PM on Chicago’s My 50

“LatiNation and (ALTV) announced today their award-winning and nationally syndicated programs are moving to a new time slot on Chicago’s WPWR My 50. The shows will begin airing on Sunday nights at 11:00 PM beginning this Sunday, March 23.

Patrick J. Mullen, Vice President and General Manager of WPWR My 50 Chicago, said, “We’re happy to have LatiNation and American Latino airing on My 50 Chicago. These are two of the only shows on geared specifically to English speaking Latinos. We feel the new time period on Sunday nights will enable a larger audience to enjoy the programs.”

“My 50 has been very supportive in recognizing the importance of the young Latino market in Chicago as a large, growing but under served audience,” said Robert Rose, executive producer of LatiNation and . “Our new time slot will allow for easier viewing for our targeted 18- to 34-year-old demographic.”

The producers and LatiNation co-host Desi Sanchez will be in Chicago from April 10-13th to shoot a full episode from Pilsen Neighborhood, a staple of Latino culture in the city. The move reflects the growing awareness and momentum the two national shows have enjoyed in Chicago as a result of their culturally relevant Latino English-language programming that is tailored to local music, sports and entertainment interests. Past segments from Chicago have included profiles on America’s Top Model winner and Chicago native Jaslene Gonzalez, team, the Chicago Fire, Chicago’s Amistad Car Club, local talent agency Desanti Talents, the Latin Street Dancing Company, The Windy City Rollers roller derby team and more.
