“Despite calls for a boycott, protestors could not keep thousands of people away from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Go Tejano Day, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A record 71,165 people paid to get into Reliant Park on Sunday. The previous Go Tejano Day record of 70,481 was set in 2006.

Dozens of protestors lined the streets outside and said Rodeo Houston did not represent and include Hispanics appropriately.”*
