“New York stage actress Silvia Brito had never acted in films before and — as she puts it, had “retired with the century” — but she knew she could not pass up “Maldeamores.”

“This is something that I never thought would happen. It seemed like it was too out of reach for me,” says Brito of her silver screen debut at 75.

“At this point in my life, to be in a film and have a stupendous role, what else can you ask for?””*
