A survey released Monday that looks at the health of California’s burgeoning Latino population confirms much of what experts already know - access to health care, preventive medicine and education is dismally low.Roughly 4 million Latinos are not insured, the highest rate among all minority groups, according to a survey conducted by the Latino Issues Forum and MAYA, a Latino-owned research and marketing agency.
“There is a huge gap in health-care access among people of color,” said Luis Vasquez-Ajmac, president of MAYA. “This has been studied and looked at for several years, and we’re still confronting this problem and still dealing with how to solve it.”"*
