“The National Society for Hispanic Professionals (NSHP), in conjunction with diversity job board LatPro.com, will be bringing its successful job fair series back to Chicago on March 27, 2008. The Chicago event, designed to help multicultural professional jobseekers connect with diversity-conscious companies, is the second in a series of nine career fairs being held across the country this year.

NSHP felt Chicago was an ideal host city for this event. As an international center of business and commerce, the city attracts top-tier professional talent from across the globe. It is also home to a significant Hispanic , with approximately 26% of Chicago’s residents reporting that they are of Hispanic heritage (Source: U.S. Census Bureau) – an advantage for employers seeking workers with insight into Latino culture and/or Spanish language abilities.

“We attribute the success of last year’s Chicago job fair to the variety of companies represented, the enthusiasm and qualifications of the professional candidates who attended the event, and the convenience of the Navy Pier location” said Ricardo Villalba, Assistant Coordinator for the NSHP job fairs. “Coming back to Chicago was an easy decision, and we expect an even greater turnout from employers and job seekers at this year’s event.”

Job seekers attending the 2008 Chicago Diversity Career Fair will meet representatives from prestigious employers including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, AT&T, Unilever, Pfizer, and Wireless.

Companies will be able to meet hundreds of and multicultural professional candidates in a convenient and organized format designed to maximize recruiting efficiency.
