But in Mexico, Rosa Estela Olvera Jiménez is seen as the victim of Texas justice run amok, a scapegoat for a system that preferred to target a 19-year-old immigrant rather than search for the truth.

A new documentary chronicling Jiménez’s 2005 trial is sparking anger and outrage in Mexico as well as a campaign seeking to overthrow her 99-year sentence.”*
