“QueBarato! (www.quebarato.com.br), a classifieds site that does not charge for posting ads, turns one year old in February and is already celebrating its position as a market leader in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. The number of registered users boasts a robust growth of nearly 350%.

The first project of ‘BuscaPe Garage’ a division of BuscaPe Group (www.buscape.com), which has as its mission developing new projects, QueBarato! uses a simple registration process and makes it convenient and safe for users — individuals and companies — to offer products from various categories.

The site is now available in the United States and is the only free classifieds service offered only in Spanish. “We’re very satisfied with the performance of QueBarato! In Latin America alone there are already more than 200,000 registered users and almost a million ads. With our arrival in the United States, we’re providing the U.S. Hispanic population with the opportunity to advertise in a way that is free, intelligent, and directly focused on their niche,” explains Rodrigo Borges, Product VP & Co-Founder of BuscaPe.com Inc. (www.buscape.com).

Any type of ad is accepted: Swap, sell, buy, event announcements, jobs — in short, any ad that adheres to the group’s conditions of use. The site allows for the management, editing and removal of ads at any time; an exclusive page with only the user’s offers; secure information exchange with other clients; and an unlimited number of ads.

The U.S. Hispanic Internet audience is booming. According to studies by eMarketer.com, in 2006, U.S. Hispanic Internet users were 17.5 million and made up for 9.6% of the total of U.S. users. The projection for 2011 is 24.4 million users or 11.6%, respectively.”*
