National Society of Hispanic MBAs Celebrates 20th Anniversary and Announces 2008 Conference in Atlanta

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) recently held a special celebration at Atlanta’s One Ninety One Club marking the organization’s 20th Anniversary. Organized to coincide with NSHMBA’s announcement of Atlanta as the host city for its 2008 Conference and Career Expo, the celebration included presentations highlighting the organization’s progress over the last two decades and a keynote speech by NSHMBA CEO, Lourdes Hassler announcing Deloitte Consulting LLP as the lead sponsor of this year’s conference. Reception attendees included members of NSHMBA’s Atlanta Chapter and national office staff, as well as members of the organization’s Corporate Advisory Board who represent thirty-eight of the nation’s leading corporations and education-focused organizations.
NSHMBA’s 2008 Conference and Career Expo will be held October 9-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center. “We are very excited to be coming to Atlanta and especially proud to be partnering with Deloitte Consulting LLP,” said NSHMBA’s CEO, Ms. Lourdes Hassler. “Our organizations share a strong commitment to the Hispanic community and a dedication to the recruitment of diverse talent. We are delighted to have them as our lead sponsor for this year’s conference.”
The National Society of Hispanic MBAs’ Annual Conference and Career Expo is the largest gathering of Hispanic MBAs in the country. An estimated 8,000 people are expected to attend including NSHMBA’s 300+ corporate and academic sponsors. Participating corporations will have the opportunity to recruit well-educated, diverse students and professionals and conference attendees will have numerous opportunities to attend professional development and networking sessions with top Hispanic leaders from across the nation.
