Latino film festivals accurately represent and preserve their culture — a fundamental reason they are growing in popularity around the world, according to Norma Iglesias, SDSU Chicano/a studies professor.
Iglesias will give the 2008 San Diego Latino Film Festival lecture, March 4, at San Diego State University.
Event attendees will get an exclusive sneak peek of some of this year’s films and learn about the history of the festival, scheduled for March 6-16 at the Hazard Center movie theaters in Mission Valley”*
