“Edna Garcia cast her ballot in the Democratic presidential primary the other day at an early-voting booth between the Foot Locker and Cindy & Ricardo’s sportswear at the Mall del Norte. Her choice: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“It’s a scary time in the world, and I’m wishing for something stable,” said Garcia, 40, on her way to pick up her son from school. “She’s safe. I know her.”

If Clinton is to win the March 4 Texas primary and help rescue her imperiled candidacy, advisers say she must capture a landslide-size share of the state’s crucial Hispanic voters, like Garcia, who could make up one-third or more of the Democratic primary electorate. Former President Bill Clinton said Texas is a “must win” for his wife.”*
