Much of the time Mexican citizens, and those of us from the United States of America, share common values and think basically the same on many matters – particularly when cultural symmetry exists. Yet obviously there are occasions and stages when opinions and positions range from simple disagreement to diametrically opposite views.

Situations that could be improved, or possibly worsened, if more people in or from each of the countries were genuinely bilingual – and bicultural.

Still, if more people could comprehend the broadcast and print media in one country (or one language) that regularly rail against the other, relations might degenerate further.
