“or the first time since taking up the fate of the Mexican Heritage Plaza, the San Jose City Council will consider whether it should take over the beleaguered cultural arts center - a bid to solve both years of fiscal woes and the center’s ongoing identity crisis.

The proposal to take control of the East San Jose facility is the most drastic of three options presented Friday in a city report that the council’s rules committee will consider at its next meeting March 5.”*
