Similar to leopards, with yellow and brown fur dotted with dark rosettes, they can reach 8 feet in length from nose to tail and weigh up to 300 pounds.

The only American cat that roars, jaguars were worshipped as deities by pre-Columbian civilizations. The modern world has been far less respectful to the creature known south of the border as El Tigre.”*
