Guard’s new director of operations is first female, Hispanic in role – Col. Alicia Tate-Nadeau in Illinois
Tagged: hospital, Illinois, latina
Col. Alicia Tate-Nadeau, 43, originally planned on a career in hospital administration, but caught the military bug when she took an introductory ROTC class at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She ended up taking a full-time job with the Guard, and is now one of only three women who are full colonels in the Illinois Army National Guard.
As director of operations, Tate-Nadeau is responsible for training and preparing Guard personnel for deployments. She began her new job in December. She called it a dream assignment because it allows her to help make policy and also stay in touch with enlisted Guard members.”*
