Quepasa Corp., which operates bilingual Latino Web sites, is moving its headquarters from Scottsdale, Ariz., to Austin to tap into the region’s high-tech talent.
The company, which is listed on the Nasdaq stock market, owns Quepasa.com, a leading Latino social networking Web site, and online dating site Corazones.com. The site is available in Spanish or English (quepasa.com/english). Founded in 1997, Quepasa has gone through a reorganization in recent months, bringing on new management and raising $7 million in financing from investors.
The company has 70 employees, some of whom will be offered jobs in Austin, chief executive Greg Abbot said. The company also plans to do some hiring here, he said”*
