Latinos have by and large supported Hillary Clinton in the Democratic nomination race, giving her an edge in states such as California and Nevada. Barack Obama has certainly proven he has some support among Hispanic voters, but closing the gap with Clinton is something his campaign hopes to accomplish in the weeks ahead.
Enter Texas, which holds a pivotal primary and caucus on March 4. In the 2004 race, a quarter of the state’s Democratic voters were Latino.”*
