A local leader in the Latino community is in Israel for a professional exchange on migration and integration.
Angeles Ortega-Moore, director of the Latin American Coalition, is among 24 Latino leaders from around the country participating in the 11-day event, which includes seminars on the challenges newcomers face with language, schools and jobs. The leaders will also discuss ways to strengthen immigrant communities and create partnerships with their native countries.
Ortega-Moore was nominated to go by the National Council of La Raza, a nonprofit advocacy group based in Washington, D.C.”*
