Hispanic Real Estate community VivaReal announced the release of the video “What Is Foreclosure? The video is a compilation of useful concepts for the consumer covering a wide range of topics including clear definitions in a non-technical language tailored to the Hispanic consumer.
“What is foreclosure?” or “Que es ejecución hipotecaria/foreclosure?” is a new video full of tips from mortgage expert Yamila Ayad and made available by VivaReal. The video offers homeowners easy to understand information about foreclosure and advice about what to do if they can no longer make their mortgage payment. The tips are intended to help distressed Hispanic homeowners that are struggling to make their house payments and/or are in some stage of foreclosure.
“What is Foreclosure?” offers answers to questions such as:
What you should know about the foreclosure process?
What you should do if you are no longer able to make your house payments?
When does the foreclosure process begin?
Is foreclosure the same as short sale?
What happened in the mortgage crisis and what can we learn from it?Yamila Ayad, a veteran mortgage professional and housing advocate from Hispanic origin, offers tips in the video. Ayad formed a community outreach program in San Diego called the H.O.M.E. Clinic (Home Owners Mobile Education) that offers free professional advice to distressed homeowners on the verge of foreclosure and bankruptcy. Ayad, who has counseled thousands of consumers during her 17-year career, is on the board of the San Diego Housing Collaborative and is a member of the Ethics Committee of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
“What is Foreclosure?” is among other video content offered on VivaReal that helps consumers learn about the home-buying process, homeownership, mortgage and other topics relevant to what’s happening in the U.S. housing market today.
