An MBTA administrator and the spokesman for the a newly formed advocacy group called the Latino Alliance, Dias says Latinos have remained stuck in low-paying positions - a status quo that a new generation of Latin bus drivers and train operators is not willing to accept.
“All of a sudden we have these youngsters coming in and they don’t want to be stuck in a seat for 20 years,” Dias said.”*
