“Southwestern University plans to establish a Center for Hispanic Studies in partnership with the National Hispanic Institute.

The liberal arts college located in Georgetown received a $268,000 government grant to launch the center.

The National Hispanic Institute, which is based in Maxwell, Texas, is led by Southwestern graduate Ernest Nieto. The institute directs leadership programs for Hispanic youth nationwide.”*
