“The Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador’s central Andes underwent an eruption on Wednesday prompting the evacuation of 3,000 villagers living near its slopes.

The eruption in 16,575-foot volcano forced the government to declare a state of emergency over the provinces of Tungurahua, Chimborazo, and Bolivar, freeing up $3 million in aid. People and livestock have been evacuated.”*
