Knowledge is Power!
Univision Online, Inc., a subsidiary of Univision Communications Inc., announced today that the Media Rating Council (MRC) has voted to fully renew its Accreditation of key traffic measurements on Univision.com. Univision.com was the first Spanish-language website to be accredited by the MRC, and remains the longest-running MRC Accredited website, in any language. The MRC is a non-profit industry association established in 1964. It is comprised of leading television, radio, print and Internet companies, as well as advertisers, advertising agencies and trade associations whose goal is to ensure measurement services that are valid, reliable and effective. Accreditation signifies that Univision.com’s traffic measurements fully comply with the MRC’s Minimum Standards for Media Rating Research and the Measurement Guidelines of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
“Univision.com has demonstrated a deep commitment to adopting new standards as they are developed. This shows great leadership and dedication to the MRC process and the measurement processes, controls and disclosures required,” said George Ivie, Executive Director of the MRC. “We greatly appreciate all their efforts and cooperation throughout the years.”
Javier Saralegui, President of Univision Online commented, “This year’s Accreditation proves how Univision.com continues to lead the industry in effective traffic measurement and advertiser accountability. In 2007, Univision.com not only maintained its position, but also delivered double-digit growth.”*
