“When voters in 24 states go to the polls today, the single most important voting bloc will be 14 million Spanish-speaking voters. They are concentrated in states rich in electoral college votes such as California and New York, as well as such swing states as New Mexico, New Jersey, Colorado and Florida, where just a few Latino votes can alter an election’s outcome.

They also make up more than 10% of the population in 10 of the Super Tuesday states.

In the unprecedented Democratic presidential campaign, in which a woman and an African-American are competing for the presidential nomination, the deciding factor may well lie with Latino-American voters.”*
